Welcome to the DDSC Easter Regatta 2024

Limited camping and accommodation available, please book when you register.  Bunkhouse rooms and camping areas will be allocated on arrival.

Breakfast (self serve), lunch (sandwich) and dinner will be available all days.  These must be purchased at the bar daily. (DDSC kitchen is not available for self catering).  

No BYO alcohol is permitted at DDSC.  DDSC has a bar and drinks are available at very reasonable prices ...

The emphasis is on FUN and LEARNING and Experience the joys of Cross Country Soaring. 

Clubs are encouraged to bring their 2-seaters and low hours/inexperienced pilots with an experienced P1.

Remember we’re not flying for Sheep Stations and any Trophies will reflect this!

Tow tickets to be purchased at the Bar prior to launch daily (DDSC members (only) will be charged via their flying account).

Daily briefing at 10AM.  The P1 pilot must attend each daily briefing to be eligible to fly (that day).  Gliders to grid before briefing (except Pract Day).

Handicapped tasks will be set every comp day.  Please read the GA Article - Bring the Fun Back into Comps.  It will assist with you understanding of the Regatta.  Full explanation given at Sunday Briefing

All scoring and handicapping will generally be done in accordance with this article, plus adjustment at the discretion of the Regatta Director (Bob Flood). Inducements encouraged.

The Daily Snoopy Award for the pilot who distinguishes themselves by outstanding Performance, Activity or Acts!

Small daily fines for random others who fail to achieve the Snoopy Award but have otherwise excelled.

All gliders to fly Dry, tie down area to be allocated on arrival.

All pilots must wear a parachute and be a financial member of Gliding Australia.  P1 pilots must have a current annual flight review (endorsed with logbook), be current with aerotow and cross country flying.

  1. R954B will be inactive for the duration of the Regatta
  2. R954A (north of the Warrego Highway) will be:
    • weekdays - ACTIVE! (tbc at daily briefing).  Gliders to remain outside this area
    • Weekends - INACTIVE (tbc at daily briefing)
  3. R954C is usually inactive (tbc at daily briefing)
